Volume Control

Barry gives you individual volume control for every app on your Mac.

Per-App Sliders

Each app that produces audio gets its own volume slider. Adjustments are independent, so changing one app’s volume doesn’t affect others.

Live VU Meters

Real-time VU meters show audio levels for each app, so you always know what’s making noise. A muted app’s meter goes dark.

Sticky Volumes

Volume settings persist across app restarts. Your preferences are saved automatically.

Default Volume

Set a default volume level for new apps in Settings. When a new app starts producing audio, it will use this default level.

Beyond the slider

A slider stops at 100%. When that isn’t enough, or when the problem is the sound rather than the level:

  • Boost past 100% — up to 4×, with a limiter to catch the peaks
  • Equalizer — ten bands per app, plus headphone correction
